Agbakoba Just Dropped a Truth Bomb

Basically, Baba is saying what most Nigerians have been whispering for years: everything can’t just be controlled from Abuja. Like, why should states be waiting for “allocation” every month like allowance? If restructuring happens, it means states can actually control their resources, handle their development, and maybe—just maybe—things might start making sense.

But let’s be honest, this whole “restructuring” gist has been around since before some of us were even born. Every election season, politicians bring it up like a broken record — then once they win, it disappears like our electricity during rain.

Still, Agbakoba’s voice carries weight. When a respected SAN says the country is hanging by a thread, maybe it’s time we stop pretending everything’s fine. Nigerians are tired of recycling the same problems — insecurity, bad roads, zero jobs — and pretending like one “committee” will solve it all.

At this point, restructuring isn’t even a fancy political topic anymore; it’s survival talk. Whether Abuja likes it or not, decentralization might just be the only way for Nigeria to stop crawling when it should be sprinting.

But knowing our leaders, they might just say “we’re looking into it” and move on. For now, we’ll keep hoping that someday, someone up there will actually press control + reset and give this country the real reboot it deserves.
